When I was shown to my room, there was a large pile of feces in the middle of the floor. If that is not enough of a deterrent... The hostess was not too friendly; they only accept cash, which they want you to pay in full on arrival; and the street was full of homeless people and drunks.

I had a really great time, the first night was a bit odd for me just because I wasn't used to staying in a hostel, but the staff helped out alot, and I ended up meeting some really cool people, and Overall had a blast in Toronto because of it. I would definately stay again.

Excellent location. Kensigton Market is fabulous and walking distance of everywhere. Hostel is very poorly run however. Absolutely filthy. Rubbish dumped out the back garden and washroom rarely cleaned.

Only 3 wash rooms for so many guests is not enough... And the dorms are a bit small to have 6 guests! But ask for the 3 beds room "Beaches", it's nice.

This was in a really nice location in Chinatown real close to a few charming little bars and vintage clothing stores. The staff were pretty helpful. They're also moving to a new location soon so look out.

It was homey and nice. We stayed for 2 nights on our first visit to Toronto. The rooms available didn't match the listings online (thought we'd be in a 4-bd all female, and we were in a 6-bd all female) but it wasn't really a big deal. Temperature was wierd too - our room was overheated while someone else said their room was freezing. Wireless internet throughout was a nice touch & 2 social areas were nice for meeting people. The neighborhood was great - very funky with lots of good food and vin

Too many cats in the hostel, not so clean, staff are not friendly but cheaper.
