the location was very good, it cost the same price as other hostels we satyed at that were afful. you cant go wrong with Hostelling international. i reccommend them to anyone, also the breakfast was very good and lots of choice, the staff are very friendly and helpful

Very good atmosphere, safe, very friendly staff. Only problem was the location, which is in the heart of granville streets entertainment strip. So spent many nights awoken by noise from the streets-even on a wednesday night!

The hostel is in Vancouver downtown, but above a bar. When you want to sleep without any noise, ask for a room on the 2nd floor.

Staff could have been a bit more friendly on arival. They seemed quite clicky and more interested in talking to eachother. Were helpful when I asked questions though.
Hostel was fantastic. Rooms, kitchen and washrooms were very clean and there was a nice mix of people staying there

Brilliant central location,as you would expect and really friendly staff. Always something available to do in the evenings should you want to go out otherwise a cosy TV room was good.

Pleasant stay. Staff on check in were great, the rest of the time very average and almost completely uninterested. Very clean. Good breakfast.

Good rooms, vacuum-cleaned in 5 seconds by the maid (I counted). Comfy mattress and pillow. Good showers. Next door to many clubs, fun but don't count with sleep before 4am. Staff indifferent: neither kind nor rude. It is an ok place.
