I'm very very disappointed ! We booked a room with 5 beds and we've discovered a room of 7 beds ! Restrooms were very dirty, a lot of noize, no clim in our room and one of my friend get out with skin irritations due to sheets or the cleanliness of the HI !!! I will never come back again in this HI and i advice anyone not come !

Decent place, clean sheets, a bit tight on the storage space if you've got a suitcase. Male showers smelled moldy. Best unexpected part: the huge array of comfy couches downstairs. Also: located about 1mi from the Indian/Pakistani part of Devon Street (take the 155 bus). 24hr CVS and McD are right nearby.

When we arrived, we were charged an additional tax that was not indicated at any point prior to our arrival. Although it was a small tax, it is frustrating when the "balance due" on your receipt does not match the "balance due" a hostel charges you.

The noise of the train seriously interfered with the night's sleep and there was no key to our room.

great hostel, clean, and near a vibrant chicago neighborhood. the only downside is that it is rather far from downtown (allow at least an hour to get yourself to the amtrak / greyhound stations), but the location itself is very close to the red line of the el, which makes getting downtown easy. i would recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a place to stay in chicago.

We arrived at 5pm, were told the room we reserved did not exist, were moved between 3 rooms, 5 hours later the manager arrived moved us again. Really rude and unhelpful, pretended he couldn't understand us. Basically he says the cheap rooms and dorms are fully booked when they are not so he can get more money. The hostel is about an hour from downtown, and really not worth it.

The hostel was extremely warm, even though packed with fans, it only made a massive noize through the hostel. Most of the place was in shabby condition, and the location was way out of town. The best thing about the hostel was the nice and welcoming staff(1 girl who worked every single day i was there, day and night).

I would not stay here again. After checking in our room was given away while we were out to dinner. Our bags were moved without us knowing and locked in another room. We had a three person private room and we were moved to a room with one double bed. The staff was horrible and they lied to us!!

Don't recommend, too far out of the way.
